ten pounds!

So, I've been about 90% paleo since mid-October. Here it is the beginning of December and as of this morning I have lost TEN POUNDS! Not only does this surpass my goal of 145, but I still feel like I could drop down more. I feel amazing! Especially since I just turned 40! LOL

Paleo is basically eating like our primitive ancestors: lean meats (or animal protein) at every meal, veggies and fruit. No grains, no dairy, no sugar. My diet was pretty clean before, so it wasn't that difficult to make the switch. I do still have sugar in my coffee, but have been using almond milk instead of half and half or cow's milk. However I have gotten to the point that something like taking a bite of my kid's peanut butter and jelly sandwich is not pleasant. The jelly is WAY too sweet to me. It's weird, but good.

My husband thinks it's crazy that I have been able to drop weight while eating bacon and eggs for breakfast every morning! :-P
